We are looking to recruit a Governance SME to work within a large Insurance company based in Manchester. The role will be working within a project reviewing the governance structure. The successful candidate will have strong Corporate Governance knowledge and a good Solvency II/Pillar 2/Regulatory Requirements understanding.
They will work alongside senior management to advise on;
- Simplifying the governance structure
- Developing and driving change in governance processes throughout the Group's corporate governance framework.
- Ensure that all governance meetings are useful, productive and efficient.
- Deliver governance benefits to all the long term funds.
The successful candidate will;
- Be well versed in corporate governance.
- Have a strong understanding of Solvency ll, Pillar 2 and regulatory requirements to ensure the new system of governance is compliant.
- Have strong stakeholder management skills required.
- Assist in working with Group Executive Committee members and their direct reports to review their accountabilities in the context of the new governance principles, Solvency 2 and Senior Insurance Managers Regime requirements.
- Able to write Board standard papers and corporate governance type documentation.
- Capable of reviewing and challenging 'As-Is' governance arrangements for Group Executive Committee members (including delegation of accountabilities to committees) and identify material gaps.
- Able to assist in the development of materials to aid understanding of the new governance principles (ie briefing/toolkit).
- Analyse and interpret any outputs/improvement plans from Group Executive Committee members for delegating accountabilities/business unit governance arrangements.
