Graduate Test EngineerAs a Graduate Test Engineer you will be responsible for helping to create test strategies, test plans and the implementation of advanced automated test solutions across our entire product range. You will learn that testing is not just about finding bugs or reporting pass rates for test cases.
Responsibilities
" Working closely within an Agile/Scrum team to develop of software products for the broadcast video automation industry.
" Taking responsibility for developing cutting-edge automated test solutions.
" Deriving test requirements from Engineering, Product Owners, Customers and other departments.
" Implement programming & scripting to automate integration, system and functional tests.
" Ensuring that all test activities you have responsibility for are performed as per the project's Test Plan.
" Writing and executing manual test cases, logging test results and defects as required.
" Responsible for creating test plans from user stories and documentation with moderate supervision.
" Providing reliable and accurate task estimates within the Agile/Scrum development methodology
" Troubleshooting issues in both test and live environments.
" Development of reusable automated test suites and test tools.
" Executing manual and automated tests based on documented test plans and automated test suites.
" Contributing to a vibrant, lively work environment.
Skills :
" High level understanding in the concepts of Quality Assurance.
" Experience with test automation tools (i.e. Selenium, TestComplete, Powershell).
" Programming background: Java, Python, Perl would be advantageous (Developers interested to explore the software tester role are encouraged to apply).
" Test automation using test equipment and software scripts.
" Excellent communication and analytical skills, self-driven, flexible, a team player with initiative.
" Able to work in a fast paced development environment.
Desirable:
" Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodology.
" Interest in Continuous Integration & Test Driven Development (TDD).
" Ability to think from the users' perspective and cover all edge cases.
" Knowledge of broadcast media, broadcast automation technologies an advantage.
