Job Title: Guidewire Developer (Java) - Remote Contract Duration: 3-6 months Rate: £ per day (Outside IR35) Location: Fully Remote
We are seeking a talented Guidewire Developer with strong Java skills to join our team on a remote basis for a 3-6 month contract. As a Guidewire Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing Guidewire-based solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and design scalable and efficient solutions using Guidewire platform.
- Develop and customize Guidewire applications using Java, Guidewire Configuration (Gosu), and Guidewire Studio.
- Integrate Guidewire applications with other systems and third-party applications.
- Perform code reviews, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and support the overall project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, and perform system testing and quality assurance activities.
- Stay updated with Guidewire platform advancements and best practices to continuously enhance the development process.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Guidewire development, including configuration and customization using Guidewire Configuration (Gosu) and Guidewire Studio.
- Proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks.
- Solid understanding of insurance industry concepts and business processes.
- Experience in integrating Guidewire applications with other systems and third-party applications.
- Familiarity with Guidewire product suite, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.
