Hardware Engineer - 6 month contract - Rochester - £67.46ph UMB or £50.58ph + £7.35ph accured in holiday credit PAYE (Inside IR35)
Role description:
Our client is looking for a Hardware Engineer to design and develop electric module(s) that cover the following subjec matter:
- High performance Microprocessor and associated interfaces including some graphics processing
- Later generation PCIe, Ethernet PHY fo 10/100 operation and other high speed serial interfaces
- Performance memory selection
- Robust data credibility monitoring
- Highly deterministic system reset strategies.
This is for an application in a high integrity safety critical environment including a RTCA DO-254 certification package. The product design definition shall include detailed requirement decomposition (DOORS) to traceable to design decisions, product description and related robustness analyses.
You will deliver design life cycle aspects from conceptual design trades, through to service release flight clearance data.
What we are looking for in you:
- Experience within a similar role in a defence contractor/manufacturer
- Successful candidates shall be fluent with the all aspects of electronic solution development and documentation.
- Are able to demonstrate a high level of familiarity with collaboratively working techniques in large teams (circa 20+) to methodologies such as Agile.
- The use of the mentor tool chain will be an advantage.

You will need to obtain a Criminal Record Check and you must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material, therefore we can only consider UK Nationals for this position. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (ie the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
