**Introduction:**

We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting for a temporary assignment, with a potential for extension, at our Leuven office. This role is pivotal in leading our accounting team through a transformational journey, ensuring compliance and strategic financial management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the Finance Transformation Program, enhancing the performance of the accounting team across various domains.
- Advise the business on accounting and tax matters, implementing efficient financial and tax procedures.
- Manage financial statements, tax reports, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to Belgian GAAP and IFRS.
- Serve as the primary contact for external stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities.
- Oversee and manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor legislative changes in tax and accounting, adapting strategies as necessary.
**Must-Have Skills:**
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven leadership experience in accounting and finance.
- Expert knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, and relevant bank & tax regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
**Added Value Skills:**
- Experience in project management and leading transformation initiatives.
**Nice-to-Have:**
- In-depth understanding of accountancy and tax law.
**Language Requirements:**
- Professional proficiency in either Dutch or French, and English.
