HIL Validation Engineer
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires HIL Validation Engineer to be based at their client's office in UK.
You may be able to work some dats remotely.
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP
Day rate: Competitive Market rate.
Job Purpose
- The System Engineers are supported in defining reliable HIL validation system requirements by System Test Engineer taking active part in requirements review process.
- The System Engineer's deliverables enable the verification and validation of features from domains like ADAS, Motion, Body and Powertrain
- Main focus of this role would be executing defined Test plan and Test Strategy
- The role will also include defining level of automation and requirements for test tools (logging equipment, Hardware in the Loop benches, automation tools ), applying appropriate Test Techniques (Open loop or Closed loop), Test Design & Implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for system requirements analysis, reviews and improvements.
- Responsible for active contribution in HIL Design, Functions System Test Plan/s and Strategy/s definition.
- Responsible for defining & applying high levels of test automation.
- Responsible for defining Test Tools requirements: logging equipment, Hardware in the Loop (open/close loops), automation tools etc.
- Responsible for Test Design & Implementation (Vehicle model development for HIL).
- Responsible for achieving full requirements coverage.
- Taking active role in Test Results review and Test Data analysis.
- Collaborate with various domains/CoC for their validation requirements.
- Follow and provide feedback for defined HIL V&V process and suggest improvements if needed.
Key Requirements
Essential Skills:
- 3-10 years' relevant experience
- Extensive hands-on in feature enablement on HIL Test assets
- Experience in Simulink model development for HIL validation
- Good knowledge of vehicle network for CAN, LIN, Flexray etc
- Extensive Systems Engineering "V-Model" specifically requirements-based testing and design verification and validation.
- Good experience with test automation.
- Experience with using HIL - open and closed loop testing.
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject, with good communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in dSPACE Test Suites like Automation Desk, Control Desk, Motion Desk, Configuration Desk.
