Looking for an experienced I&E field service specialist to primarily install and troubleshoot programs.Job Specific HSE Requirements
- Knowledge of all equipment specifications, pressure test procedures, operating procedures, maintenance procedures, QA and Health & Safety guidelines
- Conduct pre-ops safety meeting requirements and audits operational paperwork and records in accordance with job file requirements
- Ensures operations are in strict compliance with all procedures and government regulations regarding Health and Safety and Environmental requirements
- Familiar with all equipment certification and specifications, working limitations
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A diploma in electronics, instrumentation, or related field or the equivalent in industry experience. A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Candidates should have a minimum of four years oilfield experience and at least two years working with I&E systems with projects delivered without exception.Previous experience with pressure control equipment is preferred.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic understanding of PLC control systems
- Experience with VFD, AC, DC drive motors.
- Understanding of interfacing protocols i.e. WITS and OPC
- Self-directed and demonstrates sound decision making
- Competent with Microsoft office products
- Excellent written and oral skills - must be capable of communicating with both technical and non-technical personnel at field and office level
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is primarily a field position and requires travel on short notice. There is no set rotation and individuals can expect to be in the field in excess of 30 days at a time. This position requires shift work with a typical shift length of 12 hours; however, including change-over between shifts and attending required meetings, the average day may be 14 hours. If a problem with the system occurs when employee is off shift he/she will be called upon to troubleshoot and repair the problem.
