Developer - Identity and access management

3 Month contract London

Up to £425 per day

University experience Desirable

My Client is undertaking a number or process and technology improvements under the umbrella of Identity and Access Management . The current phase of activity includes: building an Identity Store database for managing person data from multiple sources; integration of HR data from the Unit4 Business World ERP system; automation of user account creation and deprovisioning; creation of role-based and request-driven group management.

We require a contract Developer to assist with delivery of requirements for Phase 2 of the IAM Programme. This will involve work to complete joiners, movers and leavers data flow through the Identity Store and Identity Management platforms to end-user accounts; development of tooling to complement operations of the ID Store (including tools to import and export data, expose data via web services, and custom code to support the Microsoft Identity Manager and Identity Panel tools).

  • To be able to formalise technical designs,
  • Engagement with stakeholders
  • Align with code standards and design principles.
  • Completed technical design documentation
  • Full source code and associated configuration
  • Operational documentation
  • Release/deployment instructions, including transition into service documents as required.

Key Skills and Technologies

SQL Server:

  • Experience writing and tuning T-SQL code, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Indexes.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server security

Visual Studio (mainly VB and C#)

  • Experience creating light-weight, simple, readable and reusable code.
  • Experience writing console and web applications connecting to Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience writing applications to present and consume data via web services.
  • Ability to read, understand and suggest improvements to unfamiliar code

Identity and Access Management

  • Understanding of key IAM concepts and Cyber Security aspects of good identity management.
  • Desirable knowledge of Microsoft Identity Manager and associated authentication technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP.
