Description

Position: Accounting Clerk

Location: Riverside, CA

Duration: 12 months

Job Description:

  • Performs basic accounting functions which require knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and of reconciliation functions.
  • Answers customer inquires.
  • Research problems and or complaints.
  • Creates and edits spreadsheets. Understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of basic functions with spreadsheet software such as Excel. Good analytical skills.
  • Proficient in mathematics.
  • Ability to follow procedures and keep records.
  • Under direct supervision, performs bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Posts journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy.
  • Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.
  • Typically requires a high school education or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
  • This position will be an Accounts Payable Clerk.
  • Should have strong Excel and a good understanding of General Ledger. Will perform Front End accounting, working with coding invoices correctly, handling payment inquiries and customer service.
  • Clients are internal business partners so need someone with excellent communication skills and ability to keep a professional attitude in all situations.
