Description
The Industrial Designer works under the general supervision of a Senior Product Development team member. The Industrial Designer collaborates and communicates with Product Development department members, manufacturing partners, and Graphics department members and on a limited basis Supply Chain staff. This position supports the Product Development Team in ideation and development of products to successful completion in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Support New Product Development (Concepts & Ideation)
- Develops illustrations, renderings, orthographic drawings and presentation comps
- Prepares samples for Photography
- Prepare comps mockups & presentation boards for sales support
- Prepare samples for photography
- Test incoming samples. Review product samples with Graphics and Quality Control
Requirements:
- The position is freelance however the ability to work onsite is a plus.
- Person must be highly creative and a conceptual thinker, possessing strong work ethic and standards
- Must be organized and maintain excellent communication skills with overseas vendors
- Ability to interpret concept visions and present ideas to development team
- Strong skill set in trend, color and design
- Open to critique
- Must be expert in Illustrator, Photoshop & Solid Works
