Information Assurance BC/DR Coordinator and Auditor required in Glenrothes!

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Information Assurance BC/DR Coordinator and Auditor to work for one of our prestigious client on a permanent basis in Glenrothes, Scotland.

As an IA BC?DR Coordinator/Auditor you will work within and be reporting to the Head of the Information Assurance, Security and Compliance (IASC) Group. You will be responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining the IA BC/DR plans
  • Auditing IA internal controls, processes, procedures, system design and operation against internal and external policies, standards and guidance.


The role requires travel to Harlow a minimum of once a month.

Main Duties:


  • Support the Head of IASC in all BC/DR and IA auditing activities.


  • Develop DR technical strategies for IT applications and services to meet Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) target of a service.


  • Identifying and communicating BC/DR associated risks to project teams and stakeholders.


  • Plan, coordinate, monitor and oversee BC/DR Plan development, and BC/DR tests / exercises. Provide quality assurance of Disaster Recovery Plan Testing.


  • Interfacing and advising with the Commercial BC/DR manager and other non IA and IT related business functions.


  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to develop risk mitigation strategies.


  • Support and internally audit IA related activities, and producing reports for auditing purposes.


  • Develop and implement programs initiatives and projects including but not limited to education and training and Business Impact Analysis.


Candidate Requirements:

Essential:
  • Licenses: Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Specialist Member of the Business Continuity Institute (SBCI) and Certified Information Systems Auditor(CISA), or equivalent certification or equivalent formal training and experience successfully utilising established business continuity methodologies
  • Experience of BC/DR activities with proven experience at senior security BC/DR consultant level or higher.
  • Excellent time management, report writing and communication skills.
  • Current SC clearance with DV clearance within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of threats, security risks and countermeasures. i.e. ISO27001, SOX, COBIT
  • Excellent customer facing skills with UK nationals and international employees and agencies.
  • BC/DR Auditing Certificate i.e. BS25999 Internal Auditor.
  • Knowledge of formal architectural methods.


Desirable:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related area
  • A good understanding of security architectures i.e. TOGAF
  • Good knowledge of security best practice methodologies.
  • Experience of working in MOD and other Central Government Agencies
  • An understanding of designing and implementing secure systems to HMG security requirements.
  • CISSP and/or CISM and IT Foundation
