Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation with offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit an Information Governance Practitioner for initial 3 month contract on a daily rate of £150-£178/day inside IR35. Due to the current circumstances this role will be initially remote based.Responsibilities:
To provide comprehensive professional Information Governance Practitioner support to the Information Governance & Security Lead/Data Protection Officer across the organisation, driving compliance with information governance legislation, policies and standards.
Development of a new, digital by default, technical environment and commensurate digital services to all stakeholders.
Support and development of fit for purpose, corporate systems and services to allow teams to deliver their strategic outcomes.
Communication, support and leadership in all digital and technical disciplines.
Impact assessment of new Digital Services and systems.
Research and development as appropriate.
Essential Skills:
Practitioner certificate in data protection.
Evidence of continuing professional development in information governance.
Substantial experience of information governance within a complex environment.
Experience of developing and implementing policy and monitoring and reporting on compliance.
Experience of appropriate risk assessment and treatment methodologies.
Ability to develop and work in partnerships.
Presentation skills, which may include large groups.
Experience of data analysis.
Proven experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of business/management processes and systems.
Experience of information governance compliance in a cloud computing environment.
Senior-practitioner level knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act 1998/The General Data Protection Act 2016.
