Description
Our client, a leading and large scale Queensland Government Organisation, is currently seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to join them on an initial 3 month contract with long term options to extend.
The Client is currently commencing a multi-phase project to vacate a CBD data centre. The Project Manager will be responsible for the re-location of computer systems and services to an alternate data centre.
Key Responsibilities for this role will include;
- Develop Project Management documentation within the Prince2 project management framework
- Liaise with ICT Support teams for identifying affected systems and services
- Working with Service Level Managers, meet with affected clients to identify suitable downtime windows for implementing changes.
- Develop project level change control documentation for the Change Advisory Board.
- Work closely with the Project team during each of the implementation phases, co-ordinating inter-group activities.
- Update of Project documentation to reflect project status and deliverables.
- Development of project documentation as required within DERM's Prince2 project management framework
- Ensure that deliverables are prioritised and completed within the specified timeframes
- Compliance with Technical Architecture
- Task allocation and monitoring
To be successful for this role you will require the following key experience;
- Prince2 project management;
- Project management of Infrastructure projects within large Corporate environments
- Proven ability to manage project deadlines within a time critical environment
- Knowledge and experience working in a quality assured environment with reviews, inspections and walk-throughs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent group presentation skills.
Desirable:
- Infrastructure architecture design within large Corporate environments;
- Infrastructure management with the knowledge of ITIL framework preferable;
