Description

Data Center Solution Architect is required by our IT services client who has several large engagements across UK and Europe. Its a contract role in Copenhagen Denmark.

To be considered for this role you should have hands on experience of Solution architect profile. You must have played a key role in architecting and solutioning complex data center solutions

Demonstrated excellence at articulating & presenting complex technical topics to both executive and technical personnel

Good understanding of Infrastructure Consulting (Data center optimization services) - Data center consolidation and migration - Data center management - - Server virtualization - Storage consolidation - Disaster recovery Primary skills

Responsible for translating customer requirements into consistent, compliant, value-added solutions, creating associated cost models and associated proposal documentation, managing due diligence and assisting in contract negotiations, as needed

Ability to assess the current IT environment and be able to provide appropriate technical solutions to address business challenges related to data center optimization

Participate in meetings to understand customer requirements, Due Diligence and Proposal presentation sessions

Architect, Design and Support Customer Network & Application Solutions like Colocation, Co-hosting etc. and their variants

Architect/re-architect, Design/re-design, Expand/Migrate Customer Data Centers and prepare related Network and Application Architecture/Design/Migration Documents

Participate in complex data center transformation and outsourcing opportunities

The on boarded solution designers are expected to deliver the following key task:

Transition architect responsible for design and support of data center migration or on-boarding of outsourced networks to client systems

Candidate must have thorough knowledge in the following areas at the least:

o Extensive knowledge and experience with Data Center and Virtualization Technologies, Solutions and Architectures.

o Data Center Network Architecture (Layered architecture) & Data Center Network Security (Firewalls, IPS/IDS etc., CISCO SDNs)

o Familiarity with the following in a DC Network Environment to enable an end-to-end design & inter-working with teams:

  • Key Network Management tools like WhatsUp Gold, Icinca, Prometheus, Cisco ACI, Observium, SPLUNK, PRTG
  • Storage products by NetApp
  • VMware: ESXi, vSwitch operations, SRM (site recovery manager),
  • High availability architectures and clustering solutions
  • Disaster recovery solutions: backup/recovery, mirroring, active/standby, active/active
  • Applications: RISC, mid-range and exposure Mainframe platforms preferred
  • Virtualization: Hypervisors, server and desktop virtualization
  • Databases: Oracle, SQL, MariaDB, PostGres
  • Middleware: WebSphere, Weblogic, JBOSS, etc.
  • NetApp technologies and solutions primarily (Vblocks, FlexPods)
  • Public and Private Cloud offerings and ecosystems

Interaction with client's customers for collecting required details (Requirement Analysis) and documenting the same in terms of Knowledge Capture Document.

Creating Design Blueprints and Design Documents like

o High Level Design (HLD),

o Low Level Design (LLD),

o Migration Procedures,

o Fallback Procedures etc.

Testing the design as and when required

Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements. Understand and Articulate Architectures and Designs for Network & Services

Facilitate better communications and understanding of customer requirements. Create, present and document technical solutions. Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.

Provide consultative support to other Virtual Team Specialists and Systems Engineers.

Mentor other less experienced Systems Engineers in the assigned opportunities. Exhibit leadership and be viewed as a leader by senior management, peers, partners, company and customers.

Actively participate as a specialist on assigned Virtual Team(s) and/or Solutions Team(s). Thorough competitive knowledge (in their area of specialization) including solution, technology and product offerings.

Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team. Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills. Ability to train and disseminate information within an Area or Operation.

Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources.
