Description
Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an Infrastructure Specialist (Database) DBA.
Install, configure and upgrade Oracle database and related products
Assess impact of database change requests
Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
Work with other infrastructure specialists to undertake technical troubleshooting and performance tuning
Create SQL scripts and database configuration files
Create and maintain detailed database design, implementation and administration documentation
Provide database advice and support to development teams

Produce detailed design, configuration specification, deployment procedure, administration guides (run books) as required - See OpAM. RedHat, Oracle DB and Middleware, Oracle E-commerce.
Develop required deployment and/or configuration scripts - Deployment of infra changes and config changes. Mostly using OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) for the scripts.
Build new environments as required - See OpAM. Mainly Linux RedHat. Mix of Physical and Virtual. Understanding of building new environments would be good
Package all required documentation, scripts, configuration specifications ready for hand over to Test Desk and/or Production support teams for implementing in downstream environments - General collection, and not application packaging
