Infrastructure Support Engineer - Solihull - 2 Month contract - Inside IR35 via umbrella
Here at Lucid we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a busy and vibrant team in Solihull. This role will require a DBS at the minimum.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Support the Infrastructure Team in delivery of the Network Infrastructure and System Administration.
- Provide support of the Microsoft Server technology stack and end user devices.
- Experience in Azure/Office 365/Exchange support.
- Provide Networking/routing support - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Checkpoint/Juniper Firewalls.
- Dealing with escalated 3rd line ServiceNow tickets, providing a problem solving capability.
- Planning in preventative scheduled maintenance including system patching and updates.
- Investigation and resolution for automated alerts and monitoring.
- Assist in the support of our business-critical applications.
- Provide support and implementation of Change requests as part of the CAB process.
- Support in the delivery of project related Infrastructure tasks.
- Planned and Unplanned Out of Hours support - part of a pro-active team responding to critical alerts.
- Liaising with Business stakeholders and the wider IT team as necessary.
- Maintain & support our Data privacy & security process & procedures.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience of working in an ITIL IT operations environment.
- Excellent knowledge of server, end point and networking infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of SQL and Powershell.
