Skills & Experience:
- Test design, implementation, execution and reporting
- Working knowledge of a systems engineering life cycle
- Working knowledge of testing methodologies

- Lifecycle Management
- Testing in a virtualised environment (Microsoft Hypervisor)
- Testing of implementations using one or more of the following Microsoft products:
- Exchange 2013,
- Lync 2013,
- SharePoint 2013,
- Windows 7 and 8.1,
- Windows Server 2008 R2,
- Windows Server 2012 SP1 with AD DS,
- SCCM 2012,
- SCOM 2012,
- SCVMM 2012,
- SCO 2012,
- SCDPM 2012
- Testing of implementations using the McAfee HBSS suite of products
- Testing of through-life support systems
- Reviewing requirements and designs for testability;
- Designing and implementing test procedures;
- Linking test procedures to requirements;
- Execute test procedures;
- Report test results, which includes the logging of the results and the raising of incidents;
- Attend and contributing to triage meetings;
- Work with System Engineers to resolve and retest defects;
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of test environments;
- Assisting with the presentation of test results in test reports;
- Reviewing test plans, procedures and results; and
- Other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.

As the Test Engineer effectively, diplomatically, and confidently communicate incidents to the project team to ensure that deliverables meet the customer's requirements while maintaining a harmonious and positive working environment.
As the Test Engineer, work in a specialist technical environment collaborating with mechanical, IT infrastructure and software engineers. The Test Engineer will need to be technically competent in order to communicate and work with peers in these technical domains.
Liaise with the System Engineers to report, resolve and retest defects, as well as review requirements and design tests cases.
Have direct contact with the customer as part of user and acceptance testing.
Occasional short term domestic travel maybe required.
Formal certification as a tester with an organisation like ISTQB.
