Description

My client, a high profile publishing organisation, requires an Interim Portfolio Analyst to support the development of a portfolio management approach and provide assurance to key change initiatives across the world.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Portfolio management - Supporting the development and ongoing improvement of a portfolio management approach, along with supporting toolkits, to ensure that key changes are identified and monitored so that risks, interdependencies and change impacts are effectively managed.
  • Build knowledge and capability - Working directly with change teams across the organisation to build knowledge and capability around portfolio management and the application of the Change Delivery Framework.
  • Health check and assurance - Providing health check and assurance services to key change initiatives across the Press to ensure that they are being delivered according to best practice standards.

Key requirements:

  • Knowledge of portfolio management approaches, including analysis and dashboard reporting, and risk and interdependency management
  • Demonstrable experience and project management delivery, together with knowledge of the development and application of project, programme, and change methodologies and toolkits
  • Experience of providing direct support to projects and programmes as part of a dedicated PMO
  • Relevant qualifications, such as MoP/P3O/MSP or equivalent
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to work and influence at all levels
  • Ability to manage time effectively to achieve goals
  • Confident user of standard Microsoft Office packages, including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; experience of using enterprise-level planning tools
  • Experience of working in a global organisation would be advantageous
