Interim Senior External Communications Manager
Rate: £500-£600 a day via umbrella
Length: 6 months with the option for extension or a permanent role
Location: London/Manchester (flexible homeworking)
If you're a proactive external communications leader with the ability to set a strategy and deliver in a regulated environment, I have an exciting opportunity to lead the external communications team for a well-known financial services brand in the UK.
I'm working in partnership with a market leading financial services business to find a flexible and adaptable individual with great relationship building skills. You'd take a holistic view across a number of products and experience in the financial sector is desirable.
You'd lead a small team and be responsible for developing and delivering the external communications strategy. You'd report in to the Head of Communications.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the external comms team to deliver clear, creative, and exciting communications across all relevant channels
- Supporting the narrative through media relations, public affairs, PR and social media activity
- Build the corporate reputation by working with agency partners, reviewing key performance indicators and supporting any reputational risk
- Develop strong relationships with the CEO, CFO and other members of the senior leadership team
Desirable Skillset
- Energetic, collaborative approach to work and a track record of establishing relationships with senior stakeholders
- Natural people manager with the ability to get the best out of others
- PR experience
- Excellent knowledge of communications planning and delivery with technical knowledge across all key external comms channels.
- Writing, editorial and presentation skills
- Ability to co-create creative ideas that add value to the business
