Description
Our Fortune 500 financial services client needs two IT Managers with strong vendor negotiation experience for 18 month contracts.This is a high profile position in their Strategic Sourcing group, where they will look to you to improve their effectiveness in managing complex contracts for software licensing, SAAS and cloud infrastructure services,.
You will work with line IT managers to identify the procurement requirements, and then manage RFI/RFP processes and contract negotiation with vendors.
The position requires technical expertise in modern IT infrastructure, along with strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
The ideal candidate will have held various manager/director positions in an IT organization, where they had substantial resposibility for negotiating vendor contracts.

Required:
- Strategic Sourcing Manager with experience as an IT Manager or Director
- Must be able to advise technical resources in vendor selection
- Must be knowledgeable of recent technologies and have implementation experience
- Experience negotiating IT Software contracts (eg Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Akamai, HP, IBM, SAP)
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Strong IT Project Management (PMP Certification not required) capabilities managing simultaneous projects of varying complexity.
- Strong written/verbal skills with ability to communicate/collaborate with all levels of management.
- Ability to influence key decision makers and stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and drive a project to completion.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Plusses:
- IT Vendor Management experience or experience managing IT vendors
- Current CPSM or CPM Certification.
