IT PROJECT COORDINATOR
Duration: 6-month contract (W2) - may extend to 1 or 2 years

Client: One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers
Travel: to Rockville, MD, once bi-weekly
Essential Functions:
- Supports Program Manager on large programs with status reporting, financial reporting or communication to Project Managers
- Independently leads/manages small initiatives/tasks for the program/project
- Responsible for gathering and compiling weekly Project status and Program status reports
- Responsible for applying the risk management process and maintains risk/issue log for the Program
- Demonstrates knowledge, experience and use of change management process and impact on business
- Leads change management process for the Program
- Experience with using, creating tasks, assigning tasks in portfolio and project management tool (CA Clarity)
- Assists Program Manager with managing program financials
- Experience working with matrixed resources
- Works with program team to compile presentations for steering committee/sponsors
- Determines program resource requirements and assists with developing resource management plans
- Expert in using Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting
- Experience with taking meeting minutes and capturing action items
- Designs communication plan frameworks to be used by project managers within context of overall program/project being managed
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years' experience or 5 years' equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years' Project Coordinator experience and at least 2 years in Information Technology
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working on Health care related projects
- Demonstrates understanding of and knowledge in IT methods and project management
- Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices and systems
