Description
- Accountable for accomplishing the project objectives, responsible for the outcome (success or failure) of the project, managing to schedule, on budget, and scope expectations
- Validate the project benefits, scope, budget, schedule, acceptance criteria
- Arrange & facilitate project kick off
- Develop the project management approach needed for the project team applying nimble, agile processes as applicable given the type of project
- Assemble the project team resources including commitment on schedule, effort & involvement
- Establish the necessary communication plan, team[s] meetings, between all project teams, chairs the project meetings
- Outline the roles/responsibilities of different parties including customers, management, project team, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Oversee, in partnership with the Technical Lead, the development of business requirements or user stories if needed, development of functional and program specifications, or backlog, as applicable to the type of project
- Develops and manages an integrated project plan including the detailed activities, schedule, and resource requirements for all activities and milestones [and/or manages vendor provided project schedule] against targets for effort, schedule, scope & budget against targets
- Identify dependencies, constraints, issues and critical path
- Accountable for risk & issue management, resolution, escalation, and action reviews, facilitate decision-making discussions and alternative recommendations
- Prepares periodic projects' status reports
- Report to the appropriate Business leadership, including Leadership, raising issues that will/may impact the success of their project
- Coordinate business partner UAT and acceptance testing, vendor testing or depending on project size oversee with Test Manager
- Ensure completion & approval of project deliverables
- Responsible for project scope change management and project sign off acceptance procedures
- Develop the implementation [go live] plan including back out plan, creating appropriate RFCs, leading implementation bridge calls
- Ensure Training team involved to deliver training to users as suits the type of project
- Ensure solution meets Operational readiness protocols working with Systems, Operations and vendors
- Ensure solutions meets Corporate Communications protocols working with Training and BRM
- Drive post implementation review process for the project
- Monitors and coordinates transition stabilization activities
Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Bachelors Degree educated in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
- 4-6 years + experience in a similar project management role, preferably in a fast paced service delivery environment.
- Analytical Skills with ability to truly understand the full scope and impact of the project requirements
- Project Management Tools proficiency
- Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently
- Extensive hands-on experience in producing project schedules, extrapolating work break down structure, and resource requirements and tracking to schedule.
- Extensive experience in project reporting to multiple levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication skills with fluency in both verbal and written English.
- Experience working with different teams software and technical; interest in variety
- Ability to work with and manage 3rd party vendors
