IT Security Engineer - 1 Day Telecommute!
Excellent opportunity for an IT Security Engineer to join an industry leading company in Atlanta!
Our client has an immediate need for a Security Engineer to join their team to help troubleshoot and repair issues with their operating systems and security applications. In this role you will install, configure and maintain security controls such as intrusion detection systems, packet capture devices, data loss prevention tools, anti-virus/anti-malware and other commercial off the shelf and open source security tools. Assist the Security Engineering Team with evaluation of new and emerging security tools and technologies and the Security Architecture Team with the installation, configuration and maintenance of VMware products (vCenter, ESXi, NSX, etc). In order to be successful in this role candidates must have a strong background in Splunk infrastructure (Installing, Managing, and Maintaining) as well as specialized knowledge of Linux OS and administration.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years Systems Administration
5+ years IT Security
Experience with monitoring in a enterprise environment (IDS/IPS)
Splunk/Siem/Logging infrastructure (Installing, Managing, and Maintaining)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree
Working knowledge of Scripting languages (Python and/or Perl preferred)
