For our client in the Oil & Gas industry we are looking for a Service manager. You will be responsible for developing/maintaining processes and making sure that they are followed. I order to so, we need somebody with the right personal skills to really sell a process to the user. All the processes are based upon ITIL. Besides improving/developing/maintaining processes, you'll also be responsible for the CMDB. The ITSM tool used is BMC Remedy.
Tasks:
* Develop and regularly review the update procedures; ensure that they are properly applied by the various services.
* Ensure that the configuration management process is working properly with the other processes in use within the division
* Ensure data mass imports into the CMDB
* Apply the necessary corrections to the foundation data on which the CMDB relies
* Propose new modelisations for applications & business services
* Ensure the review & update of the division modelisation guide
* Ensure the provision of reports used for easy data consultations
* Monitor the quality indicators of the CMDB and propose new ones if necessary
* Monitor hardware and software assets and check if the CMDB is properly updated
* Uniquely identify each asset, processes, document template and ensure that the procedures for identification and referral are met by teams
Skills:
* ITIL v3 Certification
* Technical knowledge of service management ITSM solution BMC Remedy
* The ability to relate to technical audiences as well as management.
* The rigor and respect for the process and deadlines.
* The ability to work with teams distributed on other sites with the implied time change.
