IT Technical Support Engineer - 3 months - BristolType: 3 Month Contract
Rate: £11-£15 per hour dependant on experience of the position

Computer Futures are seeking an IT Technical Support engineer for a 3 month contract based in Bristol. This is a key customer support role. You will be the first point of contact for IT users across the business and will provide a flexible, responsive service to users. With a solid background knowledge of IT and Networking and an aptitude for technical learning, you will have the drive and ambition to develop this 1st /2nd line support role and assist the Service Desk Manager in achieving a 1st class service to meet internal service level agreements.
Essential skills needed:
- Deal courteously and professionally with all internal and external customers, responding quickly and effectively to their queries and request for information or assistance.
- Take all necessary follow-up action within the agreed timeframes and keep the customer informed of progress.
- Promote excellent customer service and develop the profile of the IT team.
- Treat all customers with equal respect and care.
- Experience of working in a customer facing role such as a Service Desk.
- Experience of Service Desk software such as Heat/Vivantio/Oxygen.
- Experience of working in a diversified IT environment.
- A pleasant professional manner, and the ability to engage with a variety of people at all levels within the Group, and with different levels of IT skills and knowledge.
- Ability to support and experience in Microsoft Windows 8, Office 2013, Lync
- The aptitude to understand current IT infrastructure and networks.
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent or able to demonstrate high aptitude for Information Technology.
- It would be desirable for the post holder to be ITIL certified to foundation level and hold, or is working towards, a MCP.
