In the coming months, our Client plans major evolutions around its communication platforms (Internet, Intranet, collaboration, ) in order to manage the life cycle of existing platforms (CMS2001) & to bring the best possible solutions to emerging business needs.

The platform chosen for the future is Microsoft Sharepoint 2010. So now require a IT Web Architect to join their team.

Main challenges of the function will be:

  • Assist the migration of CMS2001 towards Sharepoint 2010 (SP 2010)
  • Set up SP2010 foundations (IT & Business) to leverage the platform potential
  • Support the business with solutions fitting their requirements

So seeking applicants with the following skills and experience
- Fluent in Dutch or French, minimum level of understanding for the other language if fluent in one of them.
- Good Leadership, communication and team coordination skills
- Corporate Communication experience
- Ideally have experience in the Insurance & Financial sector
- Proven Sharepoint (2007 & higher) experience
- Web Architecture expert
- Preferable have experience in the following as well: CMS, C# - ASP, TFS, VSS and CSS
- Experiene the following as well:
* Requirements gathering
* Web presence best practices
* Knowledge Management Best practices
* Collaboration best practices
* Social media integration
* Rich media integration

Objective of the job

  • Generic mission of the IT Architect is to support the business defining its
  • needs/requirements & direct the IT teams to provide best fit solutions.

More specifically in the context of this mission:

  • Assist in the migration of the current Internet platform (CMS 2001) towards SP2010: technical migration of Internet sites under CMS 2001 will be realised in partnership with an external provider. The architect will ensure the quality of the target solution for the migration & also the set up of the needed foundation to support the management of those sites after migration (infrastructure blueprint, policies, roles & responsibilities, templates, site structure, )
  • Set up SP2010 foundations (IT & Business) to leverage the platform:
    i. Coordination with Infrastructure teams to set up the SP2010 infra/development tools/monitoring tools
    ii. Coordination with development teams to define standards needed for developing with SP2010 (configuration mgt, source control, development standards, deployment, application integration, ) iii. Coordination with business teams (communication) in order to define the appropriate business governance: publication, roles & responsibilities, policies, best practices for metadata, taxonomies, sites structure, templates,

Support Business requirements with best fit solutions:
i. Once the new platform is operational, continuously supports the business through requirements gathering & joined solutions definition to best leverage the potential of SP2010.

The focus of the mission will first be on Web/Internet publishing, but the scope will enlarge progressively to our Intranet/Collaboration platforms for which a migration is planned in 2012. Challenge in this domain will be to support the evolution of our current static Intranet towards a more dynamic & collaborative platform, ensuring a better information sharing (knowledge management).
