Description
We are looking for an experienced JAMStack lead developer with exceptional development experience, and the ability to lead a team of onshore and offshore developers to deliver outstanding websites using JamStack technologies. You will have robust Back End and Front End development experience and be comfortable designing awesome web solutions working alongside the product owner, architect, analysts and designers for web services and web design features. You will be comfortable integrating web services with static sites. You will have a strong track record of delivery using headless CMS tools such as Contentful and Sanity, JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux and others, as well as CDN solutions including Netlify. You will be able to communicate clearly about the benefits of JamStack and demonstrate good experience defining technical direction. You will be comfortable to work alongside the design agency to provide expert advice and guidance around the benefits and limitations of the technology, and how to achieve perfect synergy between technology and design.
You will also possess the following experience:
- Significant brand engagement experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG or pharma domains
- years of web development, some of which in large organisations
- +2 years of hands-on JAMStack experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery team while at the same time carrying out necessary development tasks yourself
- Define and develop Front End website architecture.
- Design user interactions on web pages.
- Develop Back End website applications/services.
- Ensure cross-platform optimisation for mobile phones and other devices
- Ensure application responsiveness
- Work alongside UX/Designers for web features as well as design and develop APIs
- Meet both technical and consumer needs and stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
Key Skills
- JamStack expert
- Highly skilled in Front End languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue and Static Site Generators like Gatsby or Gridsome.
- Experience with Server Side APIs and JSON data structures.
- Experience using NodeJS, GraphQL and YAML
- Familiarity modern web tools such as StoryBook, PostCSS, WebPack, Babel, Jest, Cypress, ESLint and NPM/yarn.
- Strong UX/UI capabilities.
- Strong organisational and estimation skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
