We are seeking a talented individual with a unique blend of data engineering and data science skills to play a pivotal role in transforming our approach to forecasting customer portfolio and energy demand evolution.

**Role Summary:**
The Data Engineer/Scientist will be instrumental in translating business requirements into data-driven solutions, implementing robust data processing models, and leading the transition to advanced data analysis methodologies. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring data processes are efficient and deliver insightful information to drive business decisions.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with stakeholders to transform business requirements into actionable data solutions.
- Design and implement data processing models using Python, PySpark, SQL, AWS stack, Databricks, and Dataiku.
- Develop data visualization and analytics applications to provide insights and enhance business user interaction.
- Transition from Excel-based processes to sophisticated data analysis methodologies, focusing on scalability and reliability.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency throughout its lifecycle.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval systems for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Work with data infrastructure engineers to ensure development scalability, security, and performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, pipelines, and architectures.
- Uphold data engineering best practices, including code versioning, data quality checks, and automated pipelines.

**Must-Have Skills:**
- Extensive experience in a similar Data Engineer/Data Scientist role.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL.
- Experience with Databricks and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Competency in data visualization tools (Dash, Plotly, Streamlit, Bokeh, etc.).

**Added Value Skills:**
- Experience with Dataiku or similar data science platforms.
- Familiarity with the utilities industry.

**Nice-to-Have Skills:**
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling (Kimball, DataVault).

**Soft Skills:**
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Adaptability to evolving technologies and project requirements.
- Proven organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

**Educational and Professional Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in data science or data engineering.

**Language Requirements:**
- Fluency in Dutch or French.
- Proficiency in English.
