Lab Technician - Biology (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- Hands-on lab work in close collaboration with our existing team of cell biologists
- Support of the cell culture maintenance for stock cells as well as project clones
- Help with the characterization of genome engineered cell lines using molecular biology approaches
- Ensuring smooth running of our daily operations at the biology lab
- Ordering and refilling of consumables
- Aliquot chemicals
- Preparation of media
- Keep the laboratory environment and all devices clean according to biosafety standards
Main qualifications
- Apprenticeship as laboratory technician with specialization in biology. Alternatively, a completed Bachelor or ongoing Master degree in cell or molecular biology or similar
- Proficient in mammalian cell culture
- Familiar with or eager to learn basic molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR and DNA gel electrophoresis)
- Knowledge of laboratory best practices procedures
- Experience in working with electronic lab journals is a plus
- Very good English skills
- A team-oriented mindset
- Independent and diligent work attitude with a talent for organizational tasks
