Description
We're tying up design of a large Magento store for one of the countries largest vendors of organic, non-GMO, vegetable seeds, and we're looking for a talented Magento developer to join the team to help us bring the store live.
Role:
Working closely with our design team and in-house developers, you will guide the development of a Magento store. We're aiming to launch the store in October of this year. The store follows a lot of established e-commerce patterns supported by Magento out of the box, but also contains a couple of highly custom components. The store needs to be integrated with an ERP system, which will be taken care of by a third party – part of your responsibility will be to ensure that the store is prepared for the 3rd party integration. You will be supported by an in-house team consisting of one backend developer, and one front-end developer. At present, we have completed wireframes, and are tying up User Interface designs.
Your role can take shape in a variety of ways: You can provide enough guidance to our in-house team to help us get where we need to be. You can provide backend development that an in-house frontend developer can style to match the designs. Or you can provide full backend and frontend development.
You:
- Have deep experience building stores on the Magento platform.
- Have an understanding of creating rich web user interfaces, and can work with our in-house team to build one.
- Are capable of guiding a team through the Magento development process.
- Ideally are located in or near NYC, but telecommuting is fine.
- Are detail oriented and have excellent communication skills.
Compensation:
We’re open to conversation about hourly versus project fee. If you're located in the region, and want to visit the client in August, we'll gladly bring you along - it's very pretty where they are!
Info for the application
If you're interested in the project, drop us a line - let's chat about how you can help us, and how we can compensate you. If it sounds like it might be a match, I'm glad to share the designs as they stand to help figure out pricing.
