Mainframe System Engineer, Banking Brussels
The banking division is responsible for planning, building, and running of the global infrastructure, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various group markets.
It operates its IT systems and IT services in such a manner that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery. They are now looking for a Mainframe system engineer.
Role involves
Monitor and maintain the security databases for all Mainframe LPARs on all systems.
-Develop and maintain automated processes for security reports.
-Monitor the environment for adherence to security standards.
-Define and implement security requirements for new applications and upgrades.
- Define and implement USS security.
-Assist in creating and implementing security standards, policy and guidelines.
-Through daily interaction, educates users in security principles, policy and practices.
-Review database and recommends and implements changes to improve the security product and service.
-Participates in audit activities.
-Installation, customisation and administration of software
-Plan organize and execute migration of software to new versions/releases
-Monitor systems performance and tune when appropriate
-Participate to the ticket management
-Research and apply proactive software maintenance
-Train Mainframe junior staff
-Work scheduled includes Watch duty (on-call) and weekend support.
