Mainframe Z/os Engineer - Fully Remote - 6 months - Inside IR35
Hamilton Barnes are actively seeking a skilled Mainframe z/OS Engineer to join a prominent insurance firm for an initial 6-month contract, with potential extension to over 12 months. This role falls under IR35 regulations, offering a competitive day rate. The position arises from increased project activities, and the main office, based in Edinburgh, provides a hybrid work setting. What You'll Ideally Bring:
- Experience in IBM Mainframe
- Proficiency in z/OS, IBM Systems Automation, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL & Rexx
- Project expertise in maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the z/OS operating system
Key Responsibilities:
- Diligent maintenance, enhancement, and support of the z/OS operating system
- Management and enhancement of various 3rd Party Products including IBM, BMC, and Broadcom
- Essential maintenance and support of Systems Automation for seamless operations and efficient workflow
- Excel in environments that demand meticulous attention to detail
