Management Accountant
An expanding automotive consultancy with an extensive client base, including most major vehicle manufacturers is seeking an hard working talented Accountant Manager.
Reporting to the Finance Director this new role will be responsible for:
- preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
- interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
- providing a support to the management team in helping make financial decisions
- analysing financial performance and contributing to business planning and forecasts
- offering professional judgment on accounting matters and advising on ways of improving business operations and procedures.
- liaising with senior managers to track and monitor programme costs and profitability.
- monitoring and evaluating financial/HR information systems and suggesting improvements where needed, ensuring spending is kept in line with programme budgets
Essential:
- Experience of working as a Management Accountant in a multi-cost centre environment operating to tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to input and interpret complex financial data
- Fully competent in using Accounting Software packages and Microsoft office applications eg Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SQL database and crystal reporting.
Preferred:
- A recognised accounting qualification/or working towards a qualification
