Management Accountant Finance, Reporting, Project accounting - Defence
Location: Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: £27 per hour
Clearance: BPSS Clearance (must be willing and eligible to undergo, prior to project start date)

My client, a global Defence organisation, is currently looking for a Management Accountant to assist with accurate management accounting services and advice on a timely basis to enable effective decision-making. The successful Management Accountant will have demonstrable experience within the Defence/Engineering industry and will ideally have worked within large consultancies. The role of Management Accountant will require strong Finance, previous experience of Reporting and. Project accounting Candidates applying for the role of Management Accountant must also have strong have prior working knowledge of financial support & advice and ideally have experience within Continual improvement of procedures and working practices
Essential skills;
- Proven background as a Management Accountant (ideally from a background in the Defence industry)
- Previous experience of Project accounting
- Demonstrable experience of Reporting
- Extensive experience of Finance
- Significant experience of liaison with other functions
- Substantial experience of providing financial support & advice
Desirable;
- Previous experience within the Defence industry would be a distinct advantage
- Experience of Continual improvement of procedures and working practices is highly desirable
