Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Contractor
Location: Madison, WI
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for Extension)
Description:
- Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of client Manufacturing Processes.
- Assignments may include, but are not limited to: creating or revising manufacturing assembly instructions and process qualification documents in support of New Product Introductions (NPI's) and/or Engineering Change Orders; assisting in implementation of Engineering Changes as part of NPI's; and assisting in development/build/documentation of production test equipment.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
- Assist FTE Supply Chain Program Leader and Mfg. Engineers with tasks associated with NPI's, ECO's, Lean continuous improvements, and resolving ergonomic issues.
- Create or Revise Operational Methods Sheets (OMS's) related to NPI's and/or ECO's (assembly instructions).
- Develop or revise QMS quality documents/procedures (protocols, reports, Production & Process Controls).
- Support Mfg. Assisted Engineering Prototype builds of NPI's (MAEP builds).
- Interfaces with other departments in the execution of duties to ensure the orderly flow of material and information.
- Perform basic troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.
- Provide evaluation, constructive feedback to leadership in the development of internal and external engineering and manufacturing documentation.
- Develop and execute training plans as required.
- Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals.
- Comply with EHS regulations and policies.
- General direction is given in the execution of job related activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields, or Associates degree with 3 or more years of technical experience.
- Proficient in computer usage (Microsoft package)
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid Works, Visio Professional
- Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
- Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
- Ability to perform under minimal supervision in a fast pace environment
