Description
Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop strategies and manage all activities related to purchasing, receiving and distribution logistics
- Maintain inventory of components, materials, and prototype-fabricated components needed for manufacturing of finished devices
- Recommend and implement changes to competitively bid purchases, maintain inventory and streamline incoming and outgoing shipping in order to reduce costs, while ensuring quality
- Assist in the expansion of manufacturing and product development capability and capacity to meet company goals
- Manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to assure availability of resources needed for manufacturing and product development activities
- Maintain and adhere to documented processes to ensure compliance to FDA GMPs and Quality System Regulations, ISO Standards, and other requirements as defined by company strategy and objectives
- Maintain inventory master and transactional records, including transfers, receipts, issues and cycle counts
- Conduct incoming component inspections in compliance with established procedures
- Maintain a professional demeanor, appearance and work environment
- Maintain a sense of urgency and ownership
- medical device experience is must have
- experience with program called Expandable is a plus!
Requirements and Skills:
- Education - BS or BA degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years in a Materials logistics environment
- Attention to detail
- Competency in the accountabilities above as demonstrated through education, past project performance and results and training
