Role Overview:We are looking for a skilled and experienced developer with a strong background in MATLAB and Python programming. The primary task for this role involves converting a Python-based optimizer into a MATLAB version, enabling compatibility and integration with a third-party application (Homer Grid).
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and understand the existing Python-based optimizer.
- Develop a MATLAB version of the optimizer, ensuring feature parity and performance efficiency.
- Work closely with the team to integrate the MATLAB optimizer with Homer Grid software.
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation throughout the development process.
- Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to project stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Very Good MATLAB Knowledge
- Good Python Knowledge
- Very Good Communication Skills
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Homer Grid or similar (e.g. PVSol)
- Knowledge of Energy trading markets
- Electrical engineering knowledge
- Experience in optimising battery systems
