MCEV Actuary/Actuarial Trainee - 6 months - Bristol - Good rates
The MCEV team is responsible for the production of all internal (management/board) & external MCEV reporting requirements, ensuring delivery to agreed deadlines and quality.
Specific role:
The main requirements of this role are to support the MCEV financial reporting and/or business planning processes.
MCEV reporting:
Work closely with the team to understand the MCEV methodology and requirements. Work with the MCEV team to produce, analyse, review and report third quarter results to agreed deadlines
Develop and improve the MCEV processes to enable the team to meet reporting deadlines to required quality and accuracy. Ensure that a robust control framework and appropriate documentation is in place to meet internal and external requirements eg external audit, Group risk and control standards and Board for Actuarial Standards (BAS) Business Planning:
To support business planning activities in respect of forecasting MCEV results
To work collaboratively with the Business Planning team to ensure that the results produced are robust and can be explained to the leadership team
Specific skills & experience:
Part qualified or qualified actuary with financial reporting experience
Knowledge of MCEV is preferable
Ability to act independently and with limited direction.
Strong communication, influencing and organisational skills.
Delivery focus with experience of working on projects or to tight deadlines.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
