Mechanical Building Services Engineer
A Mechanical Building Services Engineer is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is a 12 month contract working for a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Mechanical Building Services Engineer contract role
Reporting to the Infrastructure & Sustainability Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for the provision of a professional service covering the full range of mechanical building services covering the following primary areas: compressed air networks, heating ventilation and air conditioning installations, boiler plant, low pressure hot water systems, mains cold water systems and building energy management systems.
Key skills required for the Mechanical Building Services Engineer
- Qualifications in relevant engineering discipline covering mechanical engineering within a building services and industrial environment.
- Proficiency in the application and use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word with a good understanding of other Microsoft Office programmes.
- Experience in dealing with customers, stakeholders and suppliers.
- Good negotiation and influencing skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of MA&I business.
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds.
