Description
Requirements:- Master degree in engineering technology (electromechanics, mechanics or industrial)
- At least 5 years' relevant experience in all-round machinery design or apparatus design environment (e.g. food industry machines, pharma machines, conveyor equipment.
- In-depth and broad technical knowledge (i.e. the job relates to machine design meaning knowledge of moving components like drive systems, belt & gear transmissions, couplings, gear calculations, strength calculations, materials, dynamics & kinematics, flow, heat, etc.; so not merely esthetics)
- You are familiar with common CAD systems. Knowledge of Inventor and Enovia is a plus
- Living full time in Belgium or happy to relocate
- Dutch and English required
Tasks:
- Your task is mainly mechanical design of machines and accessories.
- You start by collecting and recording the preconditions by listening to the "customer" and carrying out any design review meetings with the customer and management.
- You work out possible feasible concepts, and select the best design in terms of quality, robustness, functional performance level, cost and maintenance.
- In the conceptual phase, you identify the wear parts and minimize them with a balance between investment and repair and maintenance costs
- For the preferred concept, you work out the detail of the design, perform the necessary calculations, and select the necessary (standard) components.
