Description
This role will range from design and build for concept systems for new developments & existing product improvements with the responsibility as the projects technical lead. The Mechanical Engineer will also be responsible for formation of the technical file, Including drawings, planning, reporting and handover to production.
Main Responsibilities:
- To liaise closely with Technical & Project Managers from the very start of the project to ensure market and product requirements are met and a smooth transition from proof of concept to subcontract of the manufacture is achieved.
* Consider cost, effectiveness and safety of new designs by referring to MRD and PRS
* Planning, performing and reporting on development/qualification
* Generate CAD drawings - Working as part of a team & working as an individual meeting project deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or equivalent are required.
- Previous experience in the medical industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 & 13485 would be desirable
- Experienced on numerous Cad Software eg Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Catia
- Plastics, Injection moulding, tooling, castings, device design, optics, physics background.
- Experience UK/Europe
