A key client based in Kent is looking for a Mechanical design engineer with Pro/engineer. This will be for an initial 6 weeks.
Role:
This role primarily involves the support and further development of existing bespoke mechanical systems which are used to support the timing, televising and organization of Formula One events. We are seeking an individual very experienced in developing mechanical solutions using Pro Engineer and AutoCAD.
The individual will be expected to research, design and draught components and assemblies for Mechanical aspects of Projects, product design from initial design though manufacture and delivery. Carrying out 3D modelling & 2D design work whilst maintaining/updating and modifying existing designs/diagrams (including comprehensive documentation).
We are seeking a highly motivated individual, who has a methodical and structured approach to work, is self-sufficient, and is able to work well both unaided and within a team.
Knowledge and Skills Required
1. HND or Hons Degree in Mechanical Design or related technical discipline.
2. At least 5 years experience in the Mechanical Design environment.
3. At least 3 years experience in designing with Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0./PDMLink
4. At least 2 years experience of using AutoCAD ).
5. Excellent hands on practical skills and excellent understanding/sense of aesthetics, ergonomics.
6. Must be familiar with a wide range of materials and manufacturing systems.
7. Experienced communicator.
8. The ability to work with the minimal of supervision.
