My client is seeking an experienced contracting engineer to join our Mechanical Systems and Design group, to create, analyse and develop new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Designing and developing of innovative and complex electro- mechanical products and systems Writing complex technical design and test reports Working in small teams of mechanical engineers, on client focused projects Liaising and working with the client and client technical team during the course of a project

Experience and Qualifications

We expect candidates to be Degree qualified or time served in a relevant engineering discipline, with appropriate industry experience. Candidate's experience and skills will include some, or all, of the following: Mechanical design experience to include the development of new products, ideally gained within a consultancy, commercial environment or through contracting roles Experience of delivering projects or work packages to tight timescales throughout the full product life cycle Experience of working in a multi-skilled environment (ie developing electro-mechanical products) Analytical skills experience, including failure prediction and tolerance analysisExperience of geometric and linear tolerancing CAD design experience (SolidWorks and/or ProE) Experience of design for manufacture and assembly Knowledge of transfer to manufacture, manufacture process, and formal product approvals Exposure to the medical device development process Strong interpersonal and communication skills- confident and capable in a client facing role.

37.5 hr week no fixed rate(dependant on experience/skills)
