My exclusive client are undertaking there first major project in the UK and are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the installation/construction of the plant on a new-build Biomass Gasification project in the West Midlands.A 12 month contract is on offer at a highly competitive dail rate of pay (based on five day, 50 hour week).
Primarily we are looking for a real man-manager with strong communication skills who can manage sub-contractors and keep the overall project progressing as desired.
The scope of work includes all mechanical work on site including the installation of pipework, plant and boilers which must be managed on behalf of the client.
A strong Mechanical background is therefore desirable with a formal qualification (ideally degree in Mechanical Engineering), alongside experience on a major Power Generation site.
In particular, Biomass, Energy from Waste, Gasification, CHP experience is relevant to this position.
A firm grounding and appreciation in HSE and Environmental issues is also essential and the ideal candidate should have a relevant qualification in this field.
