Description
Our client is a Global company with operations in Leixlip, Co.Kildare.They currently have a position for a MFGPRO Progress developer with a strong history in business process development. This contract is an ERP upgrade, with the contract expected to run for 18 months.
Summary of requriements:
- Recent progress experience
- Experience with Web speed
- Experience with AppServer
- DB Admin experience
- Complex UX Scripting experience with multi-tier environments
- Experience with standard MFG/PRO eB modules, functionality and capabilities. QAD certification in Distribution, Manufacturing, and/or Financials are an advantage as well as having additional knowledge of higher versions of QAD MFG/PRO.
- Experience with developing in MFG/PRO version eB and familiar with technical requirements and capabilities in MFG/PRO for batching, CIM, etc.
- Experience with programming in Progress version 9 in GUI as well as character based environments using Progress ADE. Experience with Progress AppServer is an advantage as well as having additional knowledge on higher versions of Progress.
- Experience in web design and development using Progress WebSpeed 3.1 combined with profound knowledge on CSS, HTML, JavaScript, etc.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux (HPUX 11iV2, Linux RHEL5, physical & virtual HW, Clustering, Load balancing, HA/DR)
- Experienced with Siteminder or other Authentication technologies, Digital Certificates etc.
- Experience with and strong understanding of software development tools
- Experience with and strong understanding of at least one software development life cycle methodology
- Experience in writing technical documentation, Program Structure Diagrams (Nassi-Schneiderman, Jackson, etc.), Entity Relationship Diagrams (Bachmann, etc.), etc.
- Strong verbal and written skills in English language.
- Demonstrated ability to work with geographically dispersed teams. (Virtual)
