Defence client are in the market for an experience Naval Architect to deliver vessel production and acceptance to the Middle East from main land Europe.

The Naval Architect/Marine Engineer is responsible for the management and oversight of overall vessel performance, including hydrodynamics, seakeeping, ships structures and vessel arrangements for fifteen (15) security patrol vessels for an international Customer.

his role will be responsible for the management and oversight of the propulsion machinery, power generating machinery, deck machinery and auxiliary systems design. The vessels are to be constructed in northern Europe with delivery and acceptance in the Middle East.

These vessels will be built in accordance with international standards, rules and regulations, as well as specific Customer requirements. As a key member of the program team, the Naval Architect/Marine Engineer will provide expertise and influence decisions related to vessel performance and systems.

  • Strong experience leading the design, construction and repair of ships, boats, other marine vessels and offshore structures, both civil and military
  • BS degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, from an accredited university or college
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-disciplined teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with vessel performance predictions, arrangements, ships structures design and construction, and vessel tests and trials in a shipyard environment
