Key accountabilities
. Liaise with the project manager, offshore network team and other IT OPs teams to ensure timely provision of network support during all phases of the migration.
. Be the 'go to' person for networking/Firewalls/connectivity for this project.
. Physically install any network equipment as requested.
. Troubleshoot connectivity/cabling issues.
. Raise changes as per ITIL best practices.
. Complete/update relevant documentation.
Required Experience:
Hands on technical support analyst with
. Cisco NXOS, IOS (catalyst & Router) switch port and FEX administration experience, VLAN changes, Port Channel configuration, troubleshooting experience.
. General hardware rack and stack, component swap out
. Copper/Fibre cabling, patching, and troubleshooting.
. Intel based rack/blade server installation, commission, and maintenance.
. Ability to commute to Slough approx. once every 2 weeks ie must have a car/motorbike.
. Experience in hardware installation, life cycle EoL replacement, cabling or component replacements.
. Knowledge of Riverbed/Steelhead, Netscaler, Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto).
