Network Engineer 3 year contract located in Conyers, GA
This position requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in Inter/Intra exchange Carrier OCx/Ethernet facility provisioning, including circuit design, testing, and turn-up, as well as in-depth knowledge of client network and equipment including Routers. You must be able to read and interpret facility word document, command an understanding of facility continuity, identifying equipment types and physical location to OSWF support personnel, and request establishment of fiber x-connects and loops in support of service provisioning. You will act as single point of contact for all facility requests and coordinate with OSWF and other groups to clear roadblock as well as troubleshoot LOS (Loss of Signal) conditions by directing OSWF in cleaning fibers, documenting light levels to ensure services requirements are met, and utilize available OSS testing tools where possible. This person must be able to negotiate wiring task completion dates and escalate critical issues up to and including second level mgmt. You will partner with organizations external to TCAD in support of x-Organization testing calls (ONM - Optical Network Management, NACOE - National Affiliate Center of Excellence, OSWF - On Site Work Force, etc...) while keeping your Manager aprised of critical issues, including your Director in absence of Manager/Manager In Charge. All job functions are performed both manually and within mechanized processes in systems such as ADS, USRP, OCS-SS, CLMain, Capacity Management Tools, EFMS, TIRKS, SOTS, NISE, TSNOW/OSDS, System X, GEOLink, and ELogic.
