Description
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer (CCNP) who has ideally previously lead and co-ordinated Network Transformation activity. This role can be based remotely with some travel to client site occasionally
This is part of a network transformation project so the network engineer will be responsible for leading calls with the transformation project team and engineers doing the work on the ground, and also the one to be making calls and decisions on what work needs to be completed next and there to deal with any escalations.
This is part of a WAN Transformation for the Customer as part of the current Network and Managed Service Contract. The transformation involves the upgrade of access circuits and configuration changes on the existing Router estate.
Experience:
- CCNP Engineer- 5+ years experience
- Leading conference bridge, communicating effectively with remote team, transformation of network
- 5+ years experience as network administrator;
- Proven skills in networking to include but not exclusively: DNS, LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, TCP/IP, UDP, VoiP, QoS, MPLS, 802.x;
- Excellent problem solving abilities and good at working under own initiative;
- Good decision making skills/judgment;
- Ability to take ownership of a technical solution and work with a number of stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver a design and implementation approach;
This will involve OOO works - hours will include 6pm - 12am Sunday to Thursday
