O365 Security Engineer - Cloud Security - London.
My client is looking for a O365 Security engineer who will be responsible for securing the entire O365 Infrastructure, Digital Workplace tools to strengthen endpoint protection implementation and SaaS adoption of critical business applications within the Microsoft Family.
The role is responsible for providing security requirements, assisting project teams with their solution design and its risk-based architectural options, and validating their correct implementation.
O365 is a critical business and IT initiative with an experienced project team. The project seeks an experienced O365 security expert to ensure it delivers a strategic and secure Digital Workplace platform.
The critical business application sits at the heart of business operations. It is transitioning from an on-premise hosted solutions to SaaS.
You will be passionate about the technical aspects of cyber security, protecting customer data and the ensuring cyber resiliency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience of having implemented O365 in a security capacity and provided security support for SaaS adoptions of the 0365 applications.
Experience Required:
You will have expert level O365 security, cloud security, and infrastructure security skills. You will need to be able to communicate effectively to influence others, share insights or escalate risks and issues.

- 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security; 3+ years in Security Engineering, Degree in Information Security, Computer Science or equivalent Industry certifications, such as CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA advantageous.
- Implementation experience of the entire Microsoft O365 suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, E3/E5 Security stack and Cloud App Security.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide best practices approaches for implementing O365, Intune and Teams across Windows and mobile devices.
- Provide security requirements and champion existing security principles.
- Collaborate with the project team and assist with the solution design as appropriate. Be prepared to help define architectural options linked to risk that can be debated in relevant forums.
- Ensure O365 is tied to the existing strategic infrastructure roadmap and its cloud-first strategy.
- Ensure O365 is linked to other enhancement projects, such as monitoring, data minimisation, forensics and GDPR.
- Provide cloud security best practice for the SaaS adoption of a critical business application. Provide security requirements and assist the project team with implementing them.
